2012年にリリースされたPTXmasのアルバムの次にリリースしたクリスマスソングアルバム”That's Christmas To Me”の中に収録されているオリジナルソングです。
2014年にリリースされたこのアルバムはその年の最後には100万枚以上の売上と、その年のすべてのアルバムの売上の中で4位という位置に。
その年のシングル曲のランキングでもこのアルバムの中からいくつかの曲が選ばれ、その中のこの曲"That's Christmas To Me”もシングルランキングに選出されたそう。

Youtubeのビデオにもありますが、欧米のいろんなテレビ番組やクリスマスライブ会場で歌われている印象です。これぞアカペラの曲だって思わせてくれるし、Pentatonixのハーモニーをより一層感じさせてくれる仕上がりだと思います。
落ち着いた曲調にクリスマスを感じさせるハーモニー。そしてそれぞれのクリスマスの想い出を歌い上げる。クリスマスの嬉しさの中に、感動や涙、懐かしさを思わせてくれるので、初めて聞いたときはちょっとうるうるしちゃってました(^^)
この曲はただクリスマスを歌っているんじゃなくて、それぞれのクリスマスというのはどういうものかというのを歌ってくれています。私にとってのクリスマスとは…あなたにとってのクリスマスとは…。
クリスマスというのはただ単にカップルの時間とか、プレゼントを交換するとか、チキンやケーキを食べるとかそういう時間ではなく、家族と温かい料理を囲んでいるときもクリスマスだし、家路を急いでいる人たちの駅前でクリスマスケーキを売っているのもその人にとってクリスマスだし、カップルでおめでとうというのもクリスマスだし、家で一人で惣菜を食べているときもその人にとってはクリスマスの時間。
なにもクリスマスは幸せであるというわけでなく、それぞれのいろんな時間の中にそれぞれの過ごし方のなかのクリスマスが、いつかはそれぞれの思い出となり、幸せにつながっていく時間であればという気持ちも込められているような気がする曲かな。

その中でミッチが、日頃いろんなトラブルとか問題、いざこざがあるけど、クリスマスだけはそれを忘れられる時間と答えています。その時だけでも癒やしがあると心に平安が訪れますよね(^^)
